What did you all expect?
Really, what did you all expect? I mean, this... mob... in power have cheated their way through every election, decision, ruling and all other such things for a long while now. Did anyone really expected Leopoldo to be released at some point? That is, prior to serving time of all the crimes he was being accused of... What made this any different than the other times they have used this powerful "Deus Ex Machina" kind of system they have crafted for themselves? How is it that this time, the Orwell-like state in which we live would suddenly function properly?
I am writing these lines because I want everyone to know a simple thing. Maybe readers of my old corner know how I feel about things like this, but you, new readers, I feel like I need to inform you.
If you are shocked by this. If you didn't see this coming. Don't talk to me about it.
I'm the kind of guy that knows about humanity's darker side. I'm familiar with what happened in Auschwitz, or in China during the second Sino-Japanese War... And I don't mean what they told you in class. So don't come come all wide eyed saying "Can you believe that?!". Yes, I can believe it. We're talking about the same people that thought that it was ok to shoot at protesters back in 2002, so yeah! I believe they are capable of that AND MORE.
So please. If you have no idea what "Nana san ichi butai" was; thank you, but no thank you. I don't want to talk about it.
